Amazing architecture, great food, beaches, shops, breathtaking nature, sunny weather – Valencia has it all! Here are 5 must do’s to help you experience the best Valencia has to offer!

1. Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias & Jardin del Turia

When visiting Valencia, Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias is an absolute must see. The city of art and science consists of different modern buildings:

  • Oceanografic

  • El Hemisfèric

  • Museo de las Ciencias Principe Felipe

  • Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia

  • L’umbracle

  • Agora

Although I didn’t go inside every single building (only Museo de las Ciencias Principe Felipe and El Hemisfèric), me and my girlfriend enjoyed the amazing view! If you like a good walk, wander around in Jardin del Turia, a beautiful park that stretches 9 kilometers in length!

2. Mercado Central

With it’s 300 local merchants, Mercado Central is not only Valencia’s largest market but also one of Europe’s larges markets. If you like fresh, traditional food and drinks it’s definitely something worth visiting! If you don’t want to buy stuff, just take a look inside and enjoy the unique atmosphere.

3. La Malvarossa

Valencia has some pretty nice beaches to relax and enjoy the Spanish sun! We visited La Malvarossa beach, the most popular beach in Valencia. Enjoy a nice walk on the beautiful boulevard, relax on the beach, take a drink and cool down in the sea!

4. Hot Springs & Blue Lagoon – Montanejos

Although a 75 minute ride from Valencia City, Montanjos is definitely worth a day trip! Enjoy Valencia’s beautiful countryside and take a swim in the blue lagoons/hot springs with crystal clear water! I booked the famous Hot Springs tour with tour organizer Do Valencia. It was very convenient, they come pick you up and drop you off at the end of the tour.

5. Bridal Veil Waterfall – Montanejos

Also in Montanejos, you can enjoy the gorgeous Bridal Veil waterfalls. It’s an amazing , paradise-like place where you can have a swim and take awesome nature pictures!

Valencia is a city where you can enjoy both city, culture and nature. In my opinion Spain’s most underrated city. Enjoy your trip!
